Tasty Food Treats Announced for Groove Festival!
Groove Festival returns to Killruddery House & Gardens, Bray, Co. Wicklow on Saturday 19th August & Sunday 20th August 2017.
Festival food has never been so good, and Groove Festival’s 2017 offerings have been carefully curated by co-promoter Avril Bannerton, of Taste of Dublin, and her team to give attendees simply the best of bites! Groove Festival, brought to you by Energia, takes place in the retreat that is Killruddery House & Gardens on August 19th & 20th. Groove Festival recently announced a new wellness quarter, Thrive, which will include talks and demonstrations on healthy eating by Oliver McCabe, Roz Purcell, Emma Buckley, Aileen Cox Blundell, Edward Hayden, Derval O’Rourke, Sunil Ghai and many more.
Food is a fundamental part of Groove Festival, with a range of options from traditional festival fare, healthy options, to gourmet delights.
- Box Burger
A local favourite, Box Burger will launch a brand new burger at Groove Festival from their exclusive food feature. Bray’s favourite burger, like you’ve never seen it before!
- Killruddery Kitchen
Killruddery’s head chef Seamus Hogan uses produce from the Farm and Walled Gardens, together with ingredients sourced from producers in the weekly Farm Market to create simply stunning food. At Groove Festival, they will offer delicious Killruddery Pork Spit Roast with fennel and orange, our own sauerkraut, homemade Dijon mayonnaise and garden leaves in a Waterford blaa
- Sharon’s Garden of Vegan
Musician Sharon Shannon brings her brand new venture to Groove. Equal to her passion for music is her passion for the welfare and protection of animals. A passion which resulted in the development of her new business venture Sharon Shannon’s Garden of Vegan. Its evolution has been simple, organic and authentic. What started off as plan to do a few pop up vegan dinner events and a live show with Sharon each year has now developed into a fully dedicated mobile food truck which attends music festivals, events and corporate functions throughout Ireland and the UK.
Urchin, is Dublin’s hottest new beach-inspired cocktail bar. At Groove you can soak up the summer and try some of their incredible cocktails, unique small bites, seafood and sweet treats. Urchin is a breath of fresh air with a relaxed seaside vibe, bright friendly atmosphere and a laid-back soundtrack
- The Happy Pear
The Happy Pear Food truck comes to Groove! Another local favourite, the truck will be selling many of the tasty treats that people enjoy at the Greystones café including The Buddha Bowl, falafel wraps, and lots of sweet treats.
The Boojum food truck aka the ‘Boojmobile’ hailed as the most exciting experience the Mexican food revolution has seen to date! The Boojmobile brings the cool and lively atmosphere the in-store experience is known for, out on the road and to the burrito-loving festival goers of Ireland. If you haven’t already heard of Boojum, the brand is famed for being the first burrito bar in Ireland. Since arriving on the scene in 2007, Boojum has grown to become, literally, ‘the biggest name in burritos’ with a total of 9 stores across the island.
- BBQ Blasta
Since Peter Gallagher qualified from Portrush Hotel and Catering College at a young age, he has worked all over the world, from 6-star cruise lines to 5-star hotels and restaurants. The idea for A BBQ Blasta was born when he came across a unique smoking company on his travels in the UK, who created the magnificent centrepiece of his outdoor catering business.
Jaru is a small kitchen based in Dublin, delivering Korean-inspired food to customers at street markets and events. They love to cook ‘Real’ Korean soul food such as Kimchi fried rice and Samgyupsal using locally-grown, beautiful Irish ingredients.
Will be serving up a taste of Italy with a selection of pasta dishes that will be sure to be popular with young and old alike.
Keelings will be serving up a taste of summer from their food truck with what else but sweet Irish strawberries and cream. Keelings is a family owned Irish company which dates back three generations. Today, Keelings are one of the largest fruit growers and suppliers in Ireland.
With fine food, guests will also enjoy an array of drinks at the bigger and better festival, from the Hophouse 13 festival bar, Tanqueray Cocktail Bar, Urchin who will serve a selection of signature cocktails and wine, So Prosecco van, plus Frank & Honest will be on hand for festival goers coffee needs!
Music headliners on the main stage this year range from Primal Scream to Hothouse Flowers, UB40 to Hudson Taylor, Jerry Fish to Spring Break. The Sony Xperia Stage once again proves to be a hotbed of the newest Irish talent around including Katie Laffan, Daithí and Jack O’Rourke. This year acclaimed UK singer songwriter John Smith will also appear on the stage.

All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Group tickets are available for groups of 10 or more, and can be booked directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Groups of 10 or more can save on the applicable booking fees.
